A “Keeping up with Jamal Adams” update brings you the Mamba Mentality, Tony Jefferson II’s knee and Patrick Mahomes goodies.

It’s time for the show everybody hates yet cannot help but keep an eye on. It’s the show that kills it in the ratings and has seemingly carved a new space in the sports media world.

Ladies and gentlemen, it’s “Keeping up with Jamal Adams.”

As impossible as the show’s name is in reality (nobody can keep up with the man’s rampant social media posting), Adams has done a tremendous job of getting eyes to his face and name—something I detailed in a column last week.

Signed to Nike’s Jordan brand, the New York Jets best player has always looked up to the likes of Michael Jordan and LeBron James. Making money away from the field or court is what it’s about, and understanding that taking on the villain role does not ruin a mega-star for life (see LeBron post-Miami Heat).

Having said that, not a disgruntled peep has come from Adams’ mouth since the Patrick Mahomes news broke Monday. Credit him for that.

Instead, it’s been all positive in the latest episode.

Of course, what’s an Adams post without a little cryptology in the mix: “What’s understood doesn’t need to be explained.” He also retweeted two Mahomes-related tweets as well.

Over on Instagram, Adams showcased a lot of his offseason work in the gym:

Back on Twitter, Monday, he showcased his love for the “Mamba Mentality.”

“Learn to love the hate. Embrace it. Enjoy it. You earned it. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and everyone should have one about you. Haters are a good problem to have. Nobody hates the good ones. They hate the great ones.” –Kobe Bryant

Clearly, the Mamba Mentality fits in with what Adams is currently experiencing with the fanbase at the moment.

Lastly, Adams showed a little love to a fellow NFL safety, Baltimore Ravens’ Tony Jefferson II.

Jefferson tore his ACL early last season and was lost for the season. He’s still a free agent whose work to overcome an ACL can be seen with one peek at the image above.

Until next time, this has been the latest episode of “Keeping up with Jamal Adams.”
