FOX Sports decided to create the fake drug Forgetitol in a spoof commercial for the benefit of the depressed New York Jets fan.
There you are, late at night, and suddenly, one of America’s finest traditions hits your flat-screen. A drug commercial pops up with such stylistic silliness that you actually think it’s a spoof.
“This is Bob … ”
Not even the five-minute-long vocals that spit out the side-effects could force the average observer into serious viewing. Perhaps it’s why spoof commercials have been a part of this country’s fabric since Saturday Night Live made it in-style so long ago.
Fortunately for you, the newest spoof includes your New York Jets. FOX Sports conjured up Forgetitol, the must-have drug for every Jets fan.
Is your NFL team constantly ruining your Sunday? Not to worry!

The Jets fan has experienced four terrible weeks thus far on the young 2020 season, courtesy of a horrendous 0-4 start. Forgetitol—despite unwanted side-effects—is the perfect medicine to cure those Jets blues.
New York’s disheartening 37-28 defeat at the hands of third-string Brett Rypien and the then-winless Denver Broncos last Thursday night represents just another reason Forgetitol could be a drug on the rise in 2020.
I know what Jets are wondering: Does my insurance cover it? The bad news is that I have no idea. The good news is that, due to Forgetitol’s side-effects, you won’t care how much the drug costs.
The 0-4 New York Jets are currently preparing to take on a tough 2-2 Arizona Cardinals team at MetLife Stadium in Week 5, and fans already have Forgetitol on their minds.
