The New York Jets‘ selection of Elijah Moore has gained positive reviews throughout the football world. Perhaps most importantly, the Mississippi receiver has picked up the Mekhi Becton seal of approval.

Becton, apparently having just taken a flight, had a surprise waiting for him upon landing. With the selection of Moore, he and the rest of the Jets’ offense have welcomed in yet another weapon as they seek to pick up the pieces after the futility of the Adam Gase era.

Last season’s 11th overall pick took to Twitter to express his satisfaction, using a GIF featuring a disheveled version of the Sesame Street character Elmo amidst flames to express his joy.

I landed and seen we drafted some more heat,” Becton says, quote-tweeting a post from the Jets asking for fans’ reaction to the drafting of Moore. He ends with his post with crying emojis, likey signifying tears of joy.

Becton apparently isn’t the only Jets representative excited to see Moore don green. The team’s official account also posted a video of Jets leadership speaking with Moore over the phone following his draft.

Head coach Robert Saleh broke his normally reserved demeanor to welcome Moore in an animated fashion.

One look at the Jets’ revamped receiving corps is enough to justify the enthusiasm. New quarterback Zach Wilson, chosen second overall in the premier round on Friday, will have a talented arsenal of receivers to work with.

Moore, a consensus All-American, joins incumbents Jamison Crowder and Denzel Mims (a fellow second-round pick) and veteran newcomers Corey Davis and Keelan Cole.

The Jets’ next draft pick will come in the 108th overall slot on Saturday, the second choice of the draft’s final day (12 p.m. ET, ABC/ESPN/NFL Network).
