Jet X Live with Joe Blewett, Michael Nania and Robby Sabo discusses the New York Jets 2021 schedule outlook and wraps up the draft.
You know the old saying about number twos: He may be No. 2 in the program, but he’s No. 1 in your heart. Zach Wilson has chosen No. 2 as his New York Jets uniform number, which has some fans confused.
Why would the golden child choose a kicker’s number?
Well, we don’t have the answer to that other than what he told the media last weekend during rookie minicamp. He expressed how he loves the single-digit numbers and thought it was time to simply change things up a bit.
Anyway, rookie minicamp did come and go already, as the Jets hosted theirs as early as possible. Wilson, wearing the red non-contact jersey, got in his first-ever professional football stretches only to take to a little positional work.
Interestingly, the vibe was completely different when compared to the last two seasons. The coaching staff’s optimism was apparent from the jump and new head coach Robert Saleh was quick to engage with everybody—players, coaches and media members alike.
Fans should be excited about what’s coming.
Jet X Live with Michael Nania, Joe Blewett and Robby Sabo is scheduled for a Thursday night at 7 p.m. ET edition to discuss the newly-released NFL schedule while putting a final bow on the NFL draft.
Which of Wilson’s rookie teammates will perform best in 2021? Did Joe Douglas nail his second offseason in New Jersey? How many wins should realistically be expected?
