Denzel Mims continues to sit as a healthy scratch, while Robert Saleh doesn’t break the tradition that is his pregame workout.
Those awaiting video of New York Jets head coach Robert Saleh embarking on his pregame tradition were granted a delightful Denver Nugget.
Saleh continued his Sunday ritual of running through the stadium seats, galloping through Empower Field at Mile High Stadium’s blue and orange grandstands prior to the Jets’ Week 3 contest against the Denver Broncos (4:05 p.m. ET, CBS).

Mile High Stadium’s setup made it a little difficult for Saleh to enter the stands, but a little Saleh ingenuity proved no match for it, as a quick climb up allows him to set a new pace.
Saleh’s latest run to glory got Jet X pondering: Saleh’s certainly not listening to the Denver-based band The Fray. What could be populating his soundwaves as the Jets try to snap an early losing streak?
Saleh’s playlist: Running on Empty (Jackson Browne)
The obvious athletic connections aside, Saleh’s roster is technically running on empty after the injury bug has invaded the Jets’ locker room.
Carl Lawson is done for the year while Jarrad Davis is out until at least the bye week. Offensively, top blocker Mekhi Becton was lost in the opening game and running back Tevin Coleman will miss Sunday’s game with a non-COVID illness.
Alas, not all high-profile Jets will be ready for Sunday’s contest: New York announced that Denzel Mims will be inactive for the second straight contest, along with fellow receiver Jamison Crowder, rushers Coleman and La’Mical Perine, and defensive lineman Jonathan Marshall.
Denver’s inactives include cornerback Kary Vincent Jr., safety Jamar Johnson, tackle Cameron Fleming, outside linebacker Aaron Patrick and defensive lineman McTelvin Agim.
As far as other songs that could make the Saleh workout playlist, Twitter user @CPIZZAIA believes a mix of genres makes the most sense.
What's his playlist like ??? Metal, Hip hop , classic rock or a mix of all??
— cp7ny (@CPIZZAIA) September 26, 2021
Perhaps a lot of 1990s metal, rock and hip hop show up on the man’s workout audio inspiration.
- Rage Against the Machine
- A Tribe Called Quest
- The Notorious B.I.G.
- Korn
- Guns N’ Roses
- Pantera
- Metallica
- E.Town Concrete (shout out to Elizabeth, NJ)
This list is a far departure from Jackson Browne, but hey, the state of the Jets walking-wounded roster forces that softer addition to make too much sense.
The Jets and Broncos are scheduled to kick off at 4:05 p.m. ET from Empower Field at Mile High Stadium.
