Jacksonville Jaguars delete tweet after hearing it from New York Jets fans
New York Jets fans have proven over the years that they will go to war to defend their favorite players.
Apparently, that applies to the team’s slogans, too.
On Tuesday, the Jacksonville Jaguars – who have developed into a Jets rival of sorts after winning the race for Trevor Lawrence in 2020 – shared a video on Twitter that bore the title, “All Gas, No Brakes.”
Jets fans were having none of it.
The “All Gas, No Brakes” slogan (well, in actuality, it’s “Brake” in singular form, not plural) has been Robert Saleh‘s go-to mantra since the opening statements of his introductory press conference as the Jets’ head coach in January. Saleh can be seen at the end of this video using the slogan to lead a chant with fans at the Jets’ first training camp practice open to the public.

The Jets have even plastered “AGNB” logos all throughout their facility and in MetLife Stadium on game days. One can be seen here behind Zach Wilson as he executes his iconic bomb to Corey Davis.

Jets fans have wholly embraced the mantra, so you can bet that they took an issue with the Jaguars stealing Saleh’s words to live by.

After dealing with incessant harping from Jets fans in the replies, the Jaguars ended up deleting the tweet.
Jacksonville had been running a weekly video series with the title all season. Here is one from the beginning of the season featuring edge rusher Josh Allen.

It’s unknown if the Jaguars intend to continue using the “All Gas, No Brakes” title for the video series, or if they intend on continuing the series at all (they have not re-posted the tweet in question that featured Trevor Lawrence), but one thing is for sure – if they use it again, Jets fans will be on their case.
Zach Wilson and the Jets will host Lawrence and the Jaguars at MetLife Stadium in Week 16, kicking off at 1 p.m. ET on Dec. 26.
