Darrelle Revis took to Twitter and shared some words for the Dallas Cowboys
As long as you’re not a Dallas Cowboys fan, Sunday afternoon’s Wild Card playoff clash between Dallas and the San Francisco 49ers was a highly entertaining football experience. Dallas nearly erased a 16-point fourth-quarter deficit to come from behind and defeat the 49ers but squandered numerous golden opportunities to complete the comeback. San Francisco secured the upset, winning by a final score of 23-17.
Former New York Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis was not surprised in the slightest by Dallas’ playoff follies.
Shortly after the final whistle was blown, Revis tweeted, “Same ole Cowboys.” His tweet also included a snapshot of an unamused Cowboys fan that was seen during CBS’ broadcast of the game.

Revis earned the right to talk smack about the Cowboys with his play against Dallas during his NFL career.
The Jets’ legendary corner faced the Cowboys three times (all three games coming with the Jets) and earned a 2-1 record, securing two interceptions and two pass breakups across those three matchups. Revis allowed a passer rating of only 62.3 and a completion percentage of just 47.4% in his games against Dallas. He also committed zero penalties.

Revis’ most memorable moment against the Cowboys came in the opening week of the 2011 season, when New York hosted Dallas at MetLife Stadium on the 10th anniversary of September 11, 2001. Revis picked off Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo on a pass intended for Dez Bryant with under a minute left in the fourth quarter, setting up Nick Folk’s game-winning field goal.

Ironically, Romo was on the call for today’s Cowboys-49ers game.
San Francisco will advance to face the top-seeded Green Bay Packers in the Divisional Round of the NFC playoffs. Dallas is going home prior to the NFC Championship Game for the 26th consecutive season. The Cowboys last advanced to that stage in 1995, when they defeated the Packers for the NFC crown and went on to beat the Steelers in the league’s thirtieth Super Bowl.
