Josh Allen gets in a fight at Buffalo Bills training camp
The reigning AFC East champion Buffalo Bills ended their Saturday training camp practice in spectacular fashion, and not in a good way.
During a red-zone period towards the end of the session, quarterback Josh Allen got in a heated scrap with defensive tackle Jordan Phillips, leading the whole team to get involved.

The altercation started after Allen burst through the line-of-scrimmage on a quarterback draw play, and was subsequently hit by Phillips after the whistle was blown, which enraged Allen.
As a quarterback, and the Bills’ most important piece of their Super Bowl aspirations, Allen was wearing the classic red “no-contact” jersey that all passers around the league wear in practice. “Don’t hit your own quarterback” is and has been a definitive football commandment across all levels for as long as the sport has existed.
Phillips obviously let the excitement of getting back on the field get the best of him, but Allen didn’t let it slide. Instead, Allen immediately found Phillips after the play, yelling at the eight-year vet before shoving him in the face.
Phillips then proceeded to lunge back at Allen, leading to the pair being violently pulled apart by the rest of their fellow teammates.
The first week of NFL training camp is usually an endless well of optimism for most, if not all 32 franchises looking to improve on their previous output. However, Buffalo better hope the anger and vitriol of their most recent practice was a one-time mistake, and not a growing problem that could lead to disaster.
As Jets fans know all too well, the entire future of a coming season can all be changed with one good right hook.
