The Jets CB will not be outdone on the Rodgers saga
Who said Davante Adams knows something we don’t about Aaron Rodgers?
Sauce Gardner demands an answer.
The first-team All-Pro cornerback appeared on the NFL Network’s Good Morning Football show. It did not take long for him to weigh in on the Rodgers-to-the-Jets rumors.
Sauce Gardner, asked on @gmfb about Rodgers to Jets rumors:
“I can’t speak on it too too much. But I know a little something about something…”

Now, does Sauce really have any insider info? Considering what he said just a couple of days ago about QB trolling on Twitter, it’s unlikely that he really knows anything more than we do. Joe Douglas isn’t exactly sharing his process with his players.
However, is it likely that Sauce knows the exact same amount that Davante Adams does? It seems fair to assume that this is all just posturing on social media rather than based on fact.
Perhaps Sauce just didn’t like the Vegas odds for Rodgers tipping in the Raiders’ favor and wants to even the score.
Sauce also had plenty of other things to say on GMFB, explaining why he deserves the Defensive Rookie of the Year award:
“I stepped in and had to play a big role when it came to changing the defense as a rookie. That’s the main reason, it’s more than the accolades, more than the All-Pro, it’s bigger than that. It’s a team thing, being able to go out there with my brothers and give it my all. They expected a lot of me, and I feel like I lived up to the expectations, going out there and doing my thing.”
Peter Schrager then asked Sauce if there’s anyone in the sport who’s better than him at cornerback, hoping for a juicy one-liner. Sauce deflected the question, though, saying that he’s focused on himself and doesn’t pay so much attention to what other people are doing. He leaves that kind of thing to the media.
Whatever the case may be, Sauce is certainly relishing his platform on Twitter. As he expands his Twitch presence and live Madden competitions, he has enough time to sound off about his team’s next quarterback, as well.
