The lack of a trade hasn’t stopped Aaron Rodgers from working out with his potential New York Jets teammate
While Aaron Rodgers is yet to officially become a member of the New York Jets, there is nothing stopping Rodgers from working out with his future Jets teammates at sites outside of the Jets’ team facility. It’s something he has every right to do if he pleases – and it looks like Rodgers is starting to do just that.
On Thursday evening, Jets wide receiver Allen Lazard shared a photo on his Instagram story that featured him working out with Rodgers.

“Always smokin past this dude”, Lazard said of Rodgers (in jest).

Lazard spent the past five years catching passes from Rodgers with the Green Bay Packers. The 2018 undrafted free agent quickly became a favorite of the veteran quarterback.
“When I first got [to Green Bay] he kind of just really put his arm around me and kind of helped guide me to be successful,” Lazard said in a recent interview.
When Lazard signed with the Jets, he gave Rodgers credit for helping him get to where he is today.
“He’s a big reason why I’m here today,” Lazard said. “He stood on a table for me in training camp when I didn’t deserve to make the roster … He’s always believed in me.”
Lazard is excited about the energy Rodgers will bring to the Jets organization once the trade goes through.
“Once this trade goes through and Aaron shows up, just knowing his aura, I think it will ignite a lot of fire underneath a lot of guys in that locker room to really focus, to really lock in and ultimately sacrifice things that we love and care about to be able to achieve this ultimate goal.”
