Aaron Rodgers looks nimble as he throws in a calf sleeve at New York Jets OTAs

Following a tweaked calf, quarterback Aaron Rodgers is nearly back to a full-go at New York Jets practice.

With the media in attendance at Tuesday’s practice, Jets head coach Robert Saleh said Rodgers returned to practice on Friday and has been participating in 7-on-7s, two-minute drills, and individuals, though the Jets are continuing to hold him out of 11-on-11 team drills to avoid any opportunities for defenders to get near his feet.

Though he was held out of 11-on-11s, Rodgers still participated in practice, sporting a calf sleeve as he threw in front of the media.

In drills, Rodgers connected with a pair of his projected starting wide receivers: his former Packers teammate, Allen Lazard, and his new No. 1 target, Garrett Wilson.

Tight end C.J. Uzomah also caught a pass from Rodgers after the veteran quarterback showed off his field vision.

In other news, Saleh told the media that the Jets have canceled their scheduled three-day mandatory minicamp, which was to be held next week, June 13-15. Saleh cited his satisfaction with the work the team has done to this point as well as the team’s one-week-early start to training camp due to their selection for the Hall of Fame Game against the Cleveland Browns.
