After being away from the team in recent weeks, Aaron Rodgers is returning to the team.
At long last, Aaron Rodgers is back with the New York Jets. Well, kind of.
After rehabbing his Achilles injury away from the team for the past few weeks, the star quarterback is returning to the Jets before their Sunday night matchup with the Kansas City Chiefs.

Rodgers was cleared by his doctor to return to the Jets and attended their most recent team meeting. He also gave a strong message to the Jets’ roster that included telling them to “stop pointing fingers,” according to The Athletic’s Dianna Russini.

It is evident that Rodgers has a huge leadership role in all areas of the Jets, not just the offense. We all saw Rodgers’ impact on the organization during the summer, and following his injury, there has been rumored friction among the team without him in the building. It’s clear the quarterback has impacted every aspect of the Jets’ season.
Perhaps having the future Hall-of-Famer back in the building can help the Jets can get back on schedule this season. His impact would mainly come on the offensive end, as Rodgers can aid Zach Wilson and help ensure the offense is structured correctly. From an overall sense, Rodgers can ensure that the players stay on the right path in the face of the adversity they will face in the coming months.
Some of these potential benefits of having Rodgers in the building are hypothetical in nature. At the end of the day, though, it cannot be denied that Rodgers will considerably impact the Jets’ locker room. Rodgers was the clear motivator for the organization throughout the offseason, and with his return to the building, the quarterback can help the Jets continue to build their culture in 2023.
