Aaron Rodgers was not happy that his message to the New York Jets was leaked over the weekend
Aaron Rodgers is a man who likes his privacy. So you can imagine how the 39-year-old felt when his message to the New York Jets heading into their Week 4 matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs was leaked to the media.
Speaking during his weekly appearance on the Pat McAfee Show, Rodgers explained his disappointment in his message being leaked.
“I will say this, you know, when it comes to some of the stuff I talked about, I think that was one of the more disappointing things about the entire weekend is that,” started Rodgers. “Part of the process of being a team that’s connected and being a team that sticks together is that there’s some things that are meant for the locker room, and conversations that should stay in the meeting room, should stay in the locker room, should stay in the hotel.”
Clearly, the Jets quarterback was not happy that his message to the team was leaked to the media. Rodgers addressed the team at their hotel on Saturday to discuss the “finger pointing” that was rumored to be occurring within the Jets organization – mainly concerning the blame being placed on current starting quarterback Zach Wilson.
Wilson and Rodgers have become close, and Rodgers didn’t take the lack of accountability as a unit kindly – especially when Jets legends, players, and analysts are sounding off at the team’s expense.

Rodgers’ message seemed to radiate within the Jets organization – and Wilson. The third-year quarterback had his best outing of the season, although the Jets still came up short against the Chiefs, a game where plenty of questionable calls occurred in the final drive for Kansas City.
Despite the strong performance in defeat, there are still some things that the team needs to improve. According to Rodgers, keeping things in-house is one of them.
“We need to learn as organizations that some things need to be kept in-house,” exclaimed Rodgers. “We got to tighten the ship up a little bit.”
