Indianapolis Colts @ Tennessee Titans
The Tennessee Titans come into this game with their playoff hopes hanging on by a thread. Sitting at 4-7 and last place in the AFC South, this game becomes a must-win if they want to make a run.
Luckily for the Titans, this game will be played at Nissan Stadium. The Titans are currently 4-1 at home this season, with their only loss coming to the Baltimore Ravens. They are 0-6 away from Nashville in 2023.
Specifically, the Titans’ defense performs well on their home field. In five games at Nissan Stadium, the Titans are allowing only 16.8 points per game and 302.6 yards per game.
The Colts will be without Jonathan Taylor on Sunday after suffering a thumb injury last week. It comes at a bad time for the Colts as Taylor was coming off of one of his best games of the year and starting to find his legs again. The Colts were 2-2 in his absence earlier in the season.
I think this is a great spot for the Titans coming off a home win over the Panthers and like them to win again on Sunday.
The play: Tennessee Titans +1.5
San Francisco 49ers @ Philadelphia Eagles
This is the best game on the slate for Week 13. The Philadelphia Eagles are 10-1 and occupy the top spot in the NFC with the NFL’s best record. The Eagles just continue to find ways to win even when they do not play their best. After starting the season 5-0, the 49ers quickly lost three in a row but are back on the right track with three straight wins.
I really like the motivation factor in this game. The Eagles knocked the 49ers out of the playoffs in the NFC Championship game last season. All offseason we heard San Francisco talk about how they cannot wait for their rematch with the Eagles. The trash talk is starting again this week with James Bradberry and Deebo Samuel.
One trend for this game is very surprising but I like it as someone who is backing the 49ers. In December or January, teams that are underdogs with a win percentage of .700 or better are covering the spread only 40% of the time.
Coming off an emotional comeback win against the Buffalo Bills, I think this is finally the week where we see the Eagles take a step back. I like the 49ers to go into Philadelphia and leave with a massive win.
The play: San Francisco 49ers -2.5
