New York Jets banged up on the offensive line yet again going into Week 14
The offensive line carousel keeps spinning for the New York Jets.
Releasing their final injury report before Sunday’s matchup against the Texans, the team ruled out offensive lineman Wes Schweitzer, who started at right guard last week. They also ruled out quarterback Aaron Rodgers and wide receiver Jason Brownlee.

That was not the last of the injuries that would pop up for the Jets on Friday. Rookie tackle Carter Warren, who started the past two games, popped up on the injury report with a new hip injury. His status for the game is now up in the air.

The injuries to Schweitzer and Warren mean the Jets will be playing yet another combination of offensive linemen. According to ESPN’s Rich Cimini, this will be the ninth straight game the team has had a different group of players along the unit.
With Schweitzer out, this will be the 9th straight game in which the #Jets change their O-line. If you're scoring at home, the number of different starters….

A severe lack of continuity along the offensive line is yet another obstacle in the path of success for the Jets offense. Without having a unit that can build cohesion, communication can be lacking and cause critical errors.
Add the continued mess of an offensive line to bad quarterback play, a minimal amount of weapons, and bottom-tier play calling, and you get one of the worst offenses in modern NFL history.
It is borderline unfathomable that the Jets have sustained this many injuries to their team, let alone the offensive line, once again. Whether you want to blame the lack of depth, the team’s training staff, MetLife Stadium’s turf, or plain bad luck, the reality is that the sheer amount of injuries is unacceptable.
The Jets have struggled immensely on offense for the majority of this season. With more injuries sustained up front, the struggles will likely continue during Sunday’s game.
