The New York Jets will take on the AFC South and NFC West in 2024
The New York Jets’ 2024 schedule is now complete — at least, who their opponents will be and where.
Here's who we got in '24.

In any given season, 14 of the 17 games are already known years in advance. Teams play their divisional opponents twice each, one whole division in their conference on a three-year rotating basis, and one whole division in the opposite conference on a four-year rotating basis. The only unknowns are the two other teams finishing in the same place in their divisions within the conference and the additional team from the opposite conference, which depends on divisional placement.
The Jets finished third in the AFC East. Since the Steelers and Broncos finished third in their respective divisions, the Jets will play them in 2024. (The AFC South was already the division the Jets would be playing next season.)
One massive storyline was avoided when the Packers won their last game: Aaron Rodgers will not face his former team in 2024. Instead, the Jets will face the Vikings. That likely cost the Jets a primetime game, but it also prevented a major distraction for the team.
While there could be attempts to speculate about the team’s overall schedule heading into 2024, such prognostication is foolish. There are too many variables regarding team composition that are unknown right now. While the Jets play only one team known as truly dominant (49ers), there could be other emerging teams on the list. At the very least, it’s worth waiting until after free agency and the draft to even attempt to grade the difficulty of the schedule.
Regardless, the Jets’ opponent list is now complete.
