Which remaining prospects visited with the New York Jets?

The first round of the NFL draft defied expectations, and that will only continue into the next two days. There are 225 players left to be drafted and seven (at the moment) will be members of the New York Jets.

It’s difficult to project who will be available when the Jets pick or who they are even targeting. However, they’ve brought several players in for visits and saw even more while coaching at the Senior Bowl.

The Jets have had a tendency to target these players in the past, so there’s a chance at least one ends up in green. So here are the remaining players the Jets brought in for a top-30 visit:

  • Michael Pratt, QB, Tulane
  • Jordan Travis, QB, Florida State
  • Michael Hiers, QB, Samford
  • Devontez Walker, WR, North Carolina
  • Roman Wilson, WR, Michigan
  • Brenden Rice, WR, USC
  • Tejhaun Palmer, WR, UAB
  • Patrick Paul, OT, Houston
  • Maason Smith, DT, LSU
  • Braden Fiske, DT, Florida State
  • Javontae Jean-Baptiste, DE, Notre Dame
  • Micah Abraham, CB, Marshall
  • Jaden Hicks, S, Washington State

Jets defensive coordinator Jeff Ulbrich was also the coach of the national team at the Senior Bowl. After spending a week with these players, the Jets could pursue them as well. Jermaine Johnson was coached by the Jets’ staff at the 2022 Senior Bowl.

The full list of players coached by the Jets at this year’s Senior Bowl can be found here, but some of the notable names remaining include:

  • Roman Wilson, WR, Michigan
  • Brenden Rice, WR, USC
  • Devontez Walker, WR, North Carolina
  • Luke McCaffrey, WR, Rice
  • MarShawn Lloyd, RB, USC
  • Jackson Powers-Johnson, C, Oregon
  • Zach Frazier, C, West Virginia

There’s no guarantee that the Jets will select a player from either list. However, they’ve at least shown a degree of interest. We will find out in the next two days how the Jets choose to proceed.
