There are few players in the NFL who live up to their nickname more than New York Jets cornerback Sauce Gardner. And while he had to earn his nickname with his teammates and coaches, the moniker quickly stuck after an incredible rookie season.
In his first year with the Jets, the Cincinnati product partnered with Buffalo Wild Wings – a combination that could hardly be more perfect.

Gardner was given his own sauce in 2022, as “Sauce Sauce” was created based on the cornerback’s love for barbeque and hot sauce. According to BWW’s press release regarding the sauce, it was described as, “a smokey, sweet and spicy BBQ sauce which intercepts your taste buds and takes it to the house on your favorite wings and sandwiches.”
And now, lovers of sauce (and Sauce) have a chance to score a free bottle of Sauce Sauce. Buffalo Wild Wings have introduced a Sauce Gardner claw machine, where fans have the ability to score their own free bottle of the cornerback’s zesty sauce.

The new machine seemed to catch Gardner by surprise, too.
The Jets cornerback took to X (formerly Twitter) to express his surprise at the promotion, and urged his New York fans to check out the location to get their own chance at winning a bottle of Sauce’s sauce.

Whether or not the wing franchise will add more claw machine locations (or perhaps another “secret sauce”) remains to be seen. However, with this kind of reach, anything in the future remains possible.
