A win is a win in the NFL — but was that good enough for the New York Jets?

After an embarrassing defeat against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 1, the Jets sought redemption against the Titans in Tennessee. Early on, it looked like the game was quickly falling out of control for the Jets. Luckily for them, a boneheaded Will Levis play put them back in the game.

Many of the same issues from Week 1 showed up for the Jets, albeit to a lesser extent. New ones cropped up, as well.

With a short week before the Thursday Night Football showdown with the Patriots, there is not a lot of time to look back on the Titans game. Still, Jets X-Factor’s Michael Nania joined The Score Boord Podcast to discuss the Jets’ 24-17 victory and quickly preview the New England matchup.

Among the topics we addressed:

    • The Jets’ continued run-blocking struggles
    • Why they continue to employ a heavy zone running scheme after bringing in strong gap-blockers and having running back who thrives on gap concepts
    • The predictability of the offensive play-calling
    • Aaron Rodgers’ hesitancy to pull the trigger and the adjustments he must make moving forward
    • Whether to be concerned about the worst game of Sauce Gardner’s career
    • If the Jets must bite the bullet with Haason Reddick, and if so, to what extent
    • Early thoughts on how the Jets should approach the Patriots offensively and defensively
