It was far from pretty, but the New York Jets got their season back on track in Nashville.
After a rough start, the Jets made adjustments on both sides of the ball that led to the victory. The offense ditched a run-run-pass mentality and began to rely on its quick passing game, setting up improvements in the run game. The defense clamped down on the run after another ugly start in that phase.

While New York showed plenty of improvements, there remain plenty of things to improve if the Jets are going to fulfill their potential as a team. From the depleted pass rush to the underwhelming run blocking, the Jets are a work in progress in many areas. In today’s Blewett’s Blitz film breakdown, we will dive into some of those weaknesses to see where things are going wrong and how the Jets can get better.
Aaron Rodgers is another work in progress on this Jets team. At 40 years old and coming off an Achilles injury, there have been a few plays in each of his first two games that showed he is still shaking off the rust. However, in the second half of this week’s win over the Titans, Rodgers looked like the game-changing quarterback that New York hoped it would get this year. If he can build on his progress throughout the Titans game, there will be exciting times ahead for the Jets.
We break down Rodgers’ performance and much more in the latest Blewett’s Blitz film breakdown!
Other topics broken down include:
