Following the New York Jets’ dominant 24-3 victory over the division-rival New England Patriots, quarterback Aaron Rodgers’ MVP odds have surged into the top five.
Entering Thursday night’s contest, Rodgers’ odds to win MVP were at +3000. As of Sunday afternoon, his odds were the fifth-highest in the league, sitting at +1600 behind Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen, C.J. Stroud, and Jalen Hurts, according to DraftKings Sportsbook.

The four-time MVP looked like his vintage self in the Jets’ prime-time win, completing 77% of his passes for 281 yards, 2 touchdowns, and no interceptions. Through three games, the 10-time Pro Bowler has thrown for 624 yards, five scores, and just one interception while completing 67.4% of his passes.
Rodgers is hunting for the fifth MVP award of his career. Although many people viewed Rodgers as a longshot to win the award before the season, he has had an excellent start to his 2024 campaign, showing no signs of his Achilles injury lingering. It is still early, so his odds will fluctuate as the season progresses, but Rodgers is squarely in the conversation as of right now, especially with many quarterbacks around the NFL off to slow starts.
Along with currently having the fifth-highest odds for MVP, Rodgers is also the favorite to win Comeback Player of the Year, with his odds standing at +100 after Thursday night’s victory, according to DraftKings Sportsbook.
If Rodgers wants to earn these awards, he must continue to show dominant play on the field, starting next Sunday at MetLife Stadium against Bo Nix and the Denver Broncos.
