Philadelphia Eagles @ New Orleans Saints

The Philadelphia Eagles are coming off a disappointing loss in their home opener to the Atlanta Falcons. The Eagles were up by six with over a minute left and lost after Kirk Cousins drove down the field and scored to take the lead. Conversely, the Saints demolished the Cowboys and are enjoying a 2-0 start to their season.

The Saints’ offense has started the season on an insane pace, and I do not think it is sustainable. Through two weeks, they are averaging 405 yards per game, 185 rushing yards per game, and a whopping 45.5 points per game.

To keep New Orleans’ explosive offense off the field, I anticipate Philadelphia trying to establish the run game early, feeding Saquon Barkley. At times on Monday night, the Eagles tried to get too cute and it did not work for them. I anticipate them getting back to their roots and running the football with a purpose. I expect to see a motivated Eagles team that should handle business.

I think the Eagles are the better team and will win this game outright.

The play: Philadelphia Eagles +2.5

Jacksonville Jaguars @ Buffalo Bills

The Jacksonville Jaguars have started the season 0-2 and do not look like a legitimate threat to challenge the Houston Texans for the AFC South crown. They blew a double-digit lead in Week 1 against the Miami Dolphins and had a complete no-show against the Cleveland Browns in Week 2.

Jacksonville will be playing for its season on Monday night in Buffalo. If the Jaguars start 0-3, their chances of making the playoffs are next to zero – especially considering the Texans have already started 2-0. I expect to get a desperate Jaguars team that should keep this game close.

I think the Jags have built a good offense that is capable of scoring a lot of points. Even if they have not shown it this year, their offense has plenty of potential. Brian Thomas Jr. has looked explosive through his first two weeks as an NFL receiver. In two games, Thomas Jr. has 6 receptions, 141 yards, and a touchdown. Another name to watch is Gabe Davis, as he will aim to have a big day in the passing game in his return to Buffalo.

I like the Jaguars with their season on the line to win this game.

The play: Jacksonville Jaguars +5
