Ahead of the New York Jets’ Week 4 matchup against the Denver Broncos, head coach Robert Saleh gave an update on some of the team’s injured players.
During his media availability on Wednesday, Saleh confirmed that offensive tackle Morgan Moses would miss some time with the knee injury he suffered against the Patriots, although Saleh indicated that Moses is not expected to be out long-term.

“Morgan, you know he’s going to be a couple of games, but obviously not enough to put him on IR on MCL. He’s just dealing with a knee.”
Additionally, Saleh said C.J. Mosley did not practice with his toe injury and that it would “come up” at game time regarding a decision.
“We’ll see how things go. But we’re planning on giving him some vet days anyway. But we’re going to, I don’t want to say be overly cautious, but we’ll make sure that this toe doesn’t become a problem.”
Moses and Mosley are two very important players on the Jets’ roster. Along with their on-field production, they are veteran leaders who help the Jets prepare week in and week out.
However, New York has two ready-made replacements in Olu Fashanu and Jamien Sherwood.
Sherwood, who filled in for Mosley as a starter last Thursday, has already performed well this season. He is flying around in the run game and has made strides in pass coverage. Fashanu has not yet played extended action, but he looked solid in limited reps against the Patriots.
In previous years, these absences would have been killers for the Jets. However, the 2024 team is built to withstand a few injuries thanks to the depth they have drafted and developed.
