Robert Saleh is not worried about Breece Hall.
During his Monday media availability, the New York Jets’ head coach said that the Iowa State product looks like the same player as usual.

“I feel like Breece (Hall) has had a couple of good plays. I know yesterday wasn’t clean, it wasn’t his best game, but I don’t think there’s an issue with Breece with regards to explosiveness and all that, he still has plenty of juice, his GPS numbers are fine. Just chalk it up to a bad day, everyone has them and (I) fully expect him to bounce back.”
Saleh’s quote comes a day after quarterback Aaron Rodgers also expressed his confidence in Hall, saying that he thinks Hall is a “hell of a player.”
At the end of the day, though, something is not clicking for the star running back so far.
Whether it is an undisclosed ailment, a struggling offensive line, or a combination of everything, Hall has not looked like himself yet in 2024. His lack of success has hampered the functionality of the Jets’ offense.
With Breece at his best, the Jets can attack defenses through a balanced offensive game plan. However, with a less productive version of Hall in 2024, the passing game has received little to no support from the run game.
New York must find a way to get Hall rolling, either through better play designs or scheming him up easy touches to get rolling in games. Saleh and Rodgers believe in the running back, and if Hall can get back to his familiar levels of play, he will prove his coach and quarterback correct in their sentiments.
