New York Jets veteran defensive tackle Solomon Thomas is confident that edge rusher Haason Reddick will “fit right into” the locker room after his long holdout.
“Haason is going to fit right into this locker room,” Thomas said. “He’s going to be a guy who plays hard, gets the quarterback down, and creates turnovers.

“This isn’t a hostile environment. No one has hatred towards him for the time he missed; no one is looking at him sideways. Ultimately, we’re happy he’s here. The past is a matter of the past. It doesn’t matter how it happened. All that matters is that he’s here and he’s our teammate now. We’re excited about that. We’re happy for him, and we’re happy for this team. He’s going to make this team better. That’s really all that matters.”
Reddick reported to the Jets facility on Monday morning after a lengthy holdout. Reddick and the Jets agreed on an adjusted contract while “continuing to work towards” a long-term extension with the team, according to Reddick’s agent, Drew Rosenhaus.
Reddick has established himself as one of the NFL’s elite pass rushers. He has recorded at least 11 sacks in each of the past four seasons and has totaled 50.5 sacks since 2020—the fourth-most in the league—while leading all players with 13 forced fumbles during that period.
While it’s uncertain when Reddick will make his debut in green and white, his addition strengthens the Jets’ defensive front, now featuring a formidable duo with second-year pass-rusher Will McDonald, who ranks second in the league with eight sacks.
