The New York Jets have added the final piece to their offensive line.

With the seventh overall pick in the 2025 NFL draft, the Jets selected offensive tackle Armand Membou out of Missouri.

Membou becomes the highest drafted offensive lineman by the Jets since D’Brickashaw Ferguson in 2006.

While the Jets are mostly set across the offensive line with Olu Fashanu, John Simpson, Joe Tippmann, and Alijah Vera-Tucker, the right tackle spot remained a glaring weakness. Membou fills that need—and then some.

At 6-foot-4, 332 pounds with 4.91 speed, Membou is a rare athlete for his size. His blend of upper-body strength, balance, and hand quickness makes him a natural in pass protection.

On film, he flashes explosive traits, advanced hand usage, and the ability to stay square in his sets. He’s physical, violent at the point of attack, and rarely oversets—traits that should translate early.

That said, Membou is still developing as a run blocker. His pad level can rise, and he sometimes loses control at the second level. But the tools are all there, and with proper coaching, he has the upside to become one of the league’s best right tackles.

General manager Darren Mougey and head coach Aaron Glenn are building this team from the inside out. Membou gives quarterback Justin Fields the time he needs to work, and he could represent the final piece to one of the most talented offensive lines in the NFL.
