Here are some quick takeaways.
Who do the Jets face in Week 1?
The Jets will kick off the season by hosting the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday, September 7 at 1 p.m. ET. Many expect former Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers to sign with the Steelers, which will add to the excitement. Justin Fields will also get to face his former team.
The last time the Jets opened the season at home was for Rodgers’ ill-fated debut in 2023. While the Jets won that game, they hope the home opener will go better this time.
When is the Jets’ bye week?
The Jets’ bye week falls in Week 9, providing them a mid-season break. New York elected not to take the bye after its Week 6 trip to London.
The Week 9 bye cleanly breaks New York’s season into eight and nine-game stretches.
How many prime-time games?
Including the London game, the Jets will have only three nationally televised games. Just two of those are on prime time, and neither will be at home. Notably, the Jets are not scheduled for a Sunday night game in 2025.
The Jets played six prime-time games in each of the past two seasons.
How does each half of the schedule compare?
Using the projected win totals of the Jets’ opponents listed here, we see that the Jets’ opening half is slightly more difficult. Their first eight opponents have a projected win total of 8.9, compared to 8.2 for their final nine.
