One of the most fascinating aspects of the NFL draft process is how quickly a prospect’s stock can rise and fall throughout the process.

From their high school recruiting through draft day, so many things can change the football world’s outlook on a prospect. The biggest factor is their on-field play in college, but the fluctuation continues all the way until draft day.

NFL teams will constantly flip-flop their grades throughout the Senior Bowl, pro days, pre-draft visits, and the combine. With so many opportunities to impress teams or scare them off, a player can quickly fall from the consensus No. 1 pick out of high school to a projected fifth-round project on draft weekend, or vice versa.

For that reason, it is worthwhile to keep track of the draft landscape throughout the college football season preceding the upcoming NFL draft. As we sit here in late-November, we are starting to get a good idea of how the consensus views the 2026 draft class based purely upon their on-field performance in college, prior to any post-season proceedings that lead into the draft.

The website NFL Mock Draft Database compiles data from hundreds of mock drafts and big boards across the internet on a daily basis, providing an up-to-date summary of the NFL draft consensus. As of Nov. 25, 2025, here is the consensus projection for the top 10 picks of the 2026 NFL draft.

  1. Tennessee Titans: Rueben Bain, EDGE, Miami, FL (53% of picks)
  2. New York Giants: Arvell Reese, LB, Ohio State (41%)
  3. New Orleans Saints: Fernando Mendoza, QB, Indiana (31%)
  4. New York Jets: Dante Moore, QB, Oregon (50%)
  5. Las Vegas Raiders: Ty Simpson, QB, Alabama (22%)
  6. Cleveland Browns: Spencer Fano, OT, Utah (33%)
  7. Washington Commanders: Keldric Faulk, EDGE, Auburn (21%)
  8. Cincinnati Bengals: Mansoor Delane, CB, LSU (16%)
  9. Arizona Cardinals: Makai Lemon, WR, USC (17%)
  10. Miami Dolphins: Francis Mauigoa, OT, Miami, FL (21%)

The New York Jets are widely expected to choose Oregon quarterback Dante Moore with the fourth overall selection. Half of mock drafts in the website’s database have New York selecting the 20-year-old passer from East Cleveland, Ohio.

It’s a surprising pick, given the current consensus big board.

Indiana’s Fernando Mendoza is the No. 1-ranked quarterback (and No. 3 overall prospect), but he is expected to be taken by New Orleans before the Jets come on the clock. However, the No. 2 quarterback is not Moore, but Alabama’s Ty Simpson, who ranks No. 4 overall on the big board.

Moore is the No. 3 quarterback, slotted two spots behind Simpson as the No. 6 overall prospect. Yet, despite Simpson being the higher-ranked quarterback by the consensus, the Jets are expected to take Moore over him.

There are still about five months for all of this drama to unfold. By draft day, any of these quarterbacks could rise or fall significantly on draft boards.

Once the selections are made, it will be fun to look back on where each quarterback stood in November. It could be downright hilarious that Moore was ever considered an option for the Jets in the top five, or he could become a clear-cut No. 1 pick who never comes close to landing in New York.

For now, Moore seems to be the most popular choice to become the Jets’ next franchise quarterback. Jets fans looking to watch their potential future savior can do so on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. ET, when fifth-ranked Oregon (10-1) visits Washington (8-3) for the Ducks’ regular season finale.
