While there weren’t many positives in the New York Jets’ disastrous 2025 campaign, which ended with a 3-14 record, Armand Membou’s rookie season certainly left fans excited, and it did not go unnoticed on the national stage.

After earning a spot on ESPNโ€™s All-Rookie team, Membou was also named to the PFWA’s (Professional Football Writers of America) All-Rookie squad. He joined New Orleans Saints first-rounder Kelvin Banks Jr. as the two offensive tackles to receive the honor.

The PFWA All-Rookie team is voted on by members of the Pro Football Writers Association, which includes the likes of Jets X-Factor’s Robby Sabo, Nick Faria, and yours truly.

Membou’s stellar 73.8 pass-blocking grade at Pro Football Focus ranked 11th among 34 qualified right tackles (min. 400 snaps) and was the highest among first-year right tackles.

โ€œHeโ€™s got everything that he needs to be great, truly,โ€ Jets center Josh Myers said of Membou. โ€œHeโ€™s got the strength, the athleticism, the smarts. Heโ€™s got everything he needs, and heโ€™s going to be a really good football player and definitely a cornerstone of this organization.โ€

Having a strong offensive line is one of the most valuable assets a team can possess in today’s NFL, especially for a team like the Jets that is expected to select a quarterback in April’s NFL draft.

The early returns point to Armand Membou as a long-term building block for New York, with his standout rookie season giving fans reason to believe their team found a franchise right tackle.
