New York Jets strong safety Jamal Adams tells a fan that he’s trying to go to Dallas while driving away in a parking lot.
Folks, it’s quickly turned into “Keeping up with Jamal,” the reality show that ranks near the bottom in quality yet rakes in all the ratings.
On Sunday, Father’s Day 2020, New York Jets strong safety Jamal Adams answered a fan’s question as he drove away in a parking lot.
Unknown person: “Jamal, you coming to Dallas?”
Jamal Adams: “I’m trying, bro.”

The video posted on Twitter by @JaksonVelasquez, whose hometown city on his Twitter profile says Lewisville, TX, Adams’s hometown, is just the latest in a long line of Adams drama.
Adams, 24, wants a contract extension now. The Jets’ story hasn’t changed a bit. They still want to pay Adams and view him as a critical piece moving forward, but aren’t on the same urgent timeline No. 33 seems to be.
Adams requested a trade late last week and has since put out a list of eight teams he’d want to be traded to. Of course, included on that list is the Dallas Cowboys, Adams’s hometown organization.
It’s unknown for sure if this video was taken on Sunday, Father’s Day. Regardless, a glance at Adams’s Instagram account features his father, George Adams, prominently.
Remember, George Adams was drafted by the New York Giants 19th overall in the 1985 NFL draft and quickly seriously injured his hip (a Bo Jackson-like injury) that derailed his career.
Part of why Jamal Adams is after that money now could be directly tied with his father’s misfortunes as a player over three decades ago.
Stay tuned for the next episode in “Keeping up with Jamal,” the show nobody wants to see, hear or even think about at any point during the day.
