The Snoopy Bowl is knotted up
Blonde ambition led to the New York Jets first touchdown of the newest MetLife Stadium civil war.
Braxton Berrios, armed with his hairstyle reminiscent of Jonny Lee Miller’s character from “Trainspotting,” knotted up the Jets’ Sunday afternoon preseason finale against the New York Giants with a 21-yard touchdown from the hand of backup quarterback Mike White. Following the Giants’ pick-six that capped off a run of 10 consecutive tallies, the lucrative hook-up tied the score at 10 in the middle stages of the second quarter.
Berrios’ acceleration, which became well known to voters in the specialist section of the NFL’s All-Pro voters, did the Giants in. Though the official box score will list a 21-yard score, Berrios traveled a little and dodged a few Giant defenders along the way.
He caught White’s screen pass behind the line of scrimmage and advanced past blue defender Cor’Dale Flott before outrunning the rest of the lower-case NYs for the score that sent an evenly split crowd into hysterics for different reasons.

As it turns out, the only one capable of putting Berrios in a corner was an actual corner(back)—from his own team, that is.
First-round freshman Sauce Gardner was the first to greet Berrios after his score, running onto the field to partly recreate the iconic leap from “Dirty Dancing” in appreciation of the game-changing touchdown.

The Jets currently lead the Giants 17-10 after one half of play in the books.
