Breece Hall, Elijah Moore highlight the best New York Jets prop bets entering the 2022 season

The start of the 2022 NFL regular season is only one week away. Sportsbooks are offering many different prop bets to make the upcoming football season a little more interesting. Anything from win totals to Offensive Rookie of the Year is available to bet.

With that, let’s get into Jets X-Factor’s best New York Jets prop bets. All odds are via FanDuel Sportsbook.

Breece Hall Offensive Rookie of the Year (+1200)

This is my boom or bust bet for the season. I think Breece Hall has the potential to have a huge year as he is tailor-made for this offensive scheme. At the start of the season, I expect Hall to split carries with Michael Carter, but come mid-way through the season he will separate himself and take the majority of the carries.

Even though the Jets struggled to get much push running the football with the first-team offense in the preseason, I anticipate them being able to rush pretty well during the regular season. We have seen glimpses of Hall’s sky-high potential throughout training camp and the preseason games, most notably the long run in joint practices with the Atlanta Falcons.

I also love what Hall can do in the passing game. In his final season at Iowa State, he had 36 catches for 302 yards and 3 touchdowns in 12 games. I expect him to be heavily involved in the passing game for Mike LaFleur’s offense.

Elijah Moore to have 6+ receiving touchdowns (-125)

Elijah Moore had an up-and-down rookie season. He started the regular season slowly with only 9 receptions in his first 5 games. In his last 6 games, he had 34 receptions for 459 yards and 5 touchdowns.

Joe Flacco seemingly beginning the season as the Jets starting quarterback will only help Moore’s stats. In Flacco’s lone start in 2021, Moore had 8 catches for 141 yards and a touchdown. Flacco also threw a touchdown to Moore during the Week 10 loss to the Bills after he took over for Mike White.

If Moore can stay healthy throughout the season, he should fly past six touchdowns. With the expected improved quarterback play from Zach Wilson or Joe Flacco, I expect Elijah Moore to have a great season.

Jets over 5.5 wins (-145)

The 2022 New York Jets are probably the franchise’s most talented team since 2011. They have legitimate playmakers on both sides of the ball and a surplus of young talent. On top of that, the Jets have depth at many important positions for the first time in years. Their depth was shown when they had an NFL-high seven waived players claimed to other rosters following 53-man cutdowns.

With a mix of veteran leadership and young talent, anything less than six wins would be a massive disappointment. I expect the Jets to be in the range of 6-8 wins.
