Best prop bets for New York Jets-New England Patriots

The New York Jets will try to snap a 13-game losing streak to the New England Patriots when they head to Foxborough on Sunday for a massive divisional test. With both teams coming off a bye week, they each should be well-rested and prepared to make this one a classic battle between two heated rivals.

Let’s get into two of our best prop bets for Jets vs. Patriots.

All odds via Caesars Sportsbook

Zach Wilson to throw an interception (-204)

We took this in Week 8 when the Jets played New England at MetLife Stadium and it was an easy winner. Zach Wilson ended up throwing three interceptions and had another miserable game against Bill Belichick and the Patriots’ defense.

In Wilson’s short NFL career, he has thrown seven interceptions in only 10 quarters against Bill Belichick. He always seems to struggle with New England as his two worst games as a professional were against the Patriots.

The Patriots have shown the ability to intercept the ball so far in 2022. They are tied for third in the NFL with 11 interceptions as a defense this season.

These odds are not great but I expect Wilson to throw at least one interception on Sunday.

Garrett Wilson receiving yards: over 54.5 (-131)

With Corey Davis sidelined the last few weeks, Garrett Wilson has stepped up nicely in his absence. In the last two weeks, Wilson has 14 catches for 207 yards, including 115 in Week 8 against New England.

According to PFF, the Patriots play man coverage 47.3% of the time on defense. That ranks second in the NFL only behind the New York Giants. In the Jets’ Week 8 game against New England, the Patriots played man coverage 39.5% of passing plays as Wilson nearly tripled his passing prop over/under.

This bodes well for Wilson as his quick lateral quickness and burst are a nightmare for defensive backs in man coverage. Also, Wilson has been as-advertised after the catch this season and should have plenty of chances to do damage in this area while going one-on-one with cornerbacks.

I anticipate Wilson to have another big game this week as he continues his impressive rookie season.
