Look out for New York Jets star Sauce Gardner when you’re watching the Super Bowl
The New York Jets finally have a likable face of the franchise who offers mainstream appeal.
In his rookie season, fourth overall pick Sauce Gardner proved himself to be a dominant force on the field and a class act off of it. Gardner became the first rookie cornerback to be named a first-team All-Pro since Ronnie Lott in 1981, and when he wasn’t holding your fantasy team’s best receiver to a season-low point total, he was charming Jets fans with his humble and relaxed personality.
The whole world will get a glimpse of Gardner’s charisma on Super Bowl Sunday when Gardner stars in a commercial alongside fellow shutdown cornerback Jalen Ramsey. On Saturday, the NFL tweeted out a sneak peek of the commercial, which will play after halftime.
Don't get lost in the sauce.

Gardner and Ramsey are seen sitting in a cart as they play the roles of security guards in the back alleys of a stadium.
“Man, I’m trying to lock down the perimeter and you’re worried about sauce,” Ramsey tells Gardner as the rookie pours some sauce. “It’s all about the sauce,” Gardner replies.
A “code red” comes in over the radio, and the two All-Pros rush to address the unknown situation.
Gardner is hoping to match or even surpass the impressive career put together by Ramsey, who was also a top-five draft pick. Ramsey was selected fifth overall by the Jacksonville Jaguars in the 2016 draft, and he has gone on to earn five Pro Bowl appearances, three first-team All-Pro nods, and most importantly, a Super Bowl ring.
Ramsey set a career-high with 18 passes defended in 2022, ranking second in the NFL. The only man above him? That would be Gardner, who topped the league with 20 passes defended in his first season.
