It’s all coming together for Big Q
Life is good for New York Jets defensive tackle Quinnen Williams.
He’s coming off the year of his life and just made his first Pro Bowl and first-team All-Pro. He’s about to get paid handsomely and will likely receive the richest DT contract for anyone not named Aaron Donald.
But Quinnen has something else to look forward to in his personal life: becoming a dad.
May God grant us a healthy baby and always protect our princess. 💓

Still just 25 years old, Quinnen is in the prime of his football career. He did his job and will now be able to take care of his wife and child financially for the long haul.
Hopefully, his daughter will get to see something that Jets fans have yearned for since 1968: the crowning of a Jets Super Bowl championship. Quinnen must continue to be the linchpin in the middle of the defense for that to happen.
Getting Quinnen’s contract extension done should be one of Joe Douglas’s priorities this offseason. It’s as much of a no-brainer as there is for the roster.
Quinnen may be the only positive long-term contribution that former GM Mike Maccagnan left for the Jets’ roster. Although he left many negative gifts that have kept on giving (Le’Veon Bell, Trumaine Johnson, and C.J. Mosley’s albatross contract, for example), Williams is the one that has finally born fruit.
Douglas had many messes to clean up, but this is exactly what an NFL GM dreams of when they pick a player No. 3 overall.
Congratulations, Quinnen, on the baby. Let’s hope this is the harbinger of many more good times for you with the Jets franchise.
