After the news broke that a New York Jets contingent was meeting with Aaron Rodgers, NFL bettors quickly went to the betting window. Sportsbooks saw a surge in bets coming on the New York Jets winning Super Bowl 58.
Team owner Woody Johnson, general manager Joe Douglas, head coach Robert Saleh, and offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett were all believed to be in on the meeting to lure Rodgers to New York.
According to Max Meyer of Caesars Sports, 220 Super Bowl bets were placed on the Jets on March 7, 2023, six of which were $1000. It was reported that every other team combined attracted only 71 total bets on the 2024 Super Bowl (2023 NFL regular season).

David Payne Purdum, who is a gambling reporter for ESPN, is reporting that more money has been wagered on the New York Jets than any other team in the NFL to win Super Bowl 58, at DraftKings Sportsbook.
