Are the New York Jets one of the biggest threats to the Kansas City Chiefs?
It shouldn’t come as a surprise that the New York Jets were once again prominently featured on ESPN. This time, New York was mentioned on the network’s “Get Up” segment. The panel discussed the importance of Aaron Rodgers attending OTAs this summer in his first season as the Jets quarterback.
While discussing the team, ESPN’s Dan Orlovsky mentioned the unique position the Jets found themselves in this season.
“I think the Jets are in this very unique space,” said Orlovsky. “There’s two teams that I think are the most equipped to beat Kansas City, because that’s what this season is about. One is Buffalo … and the two are the New York Jets. Those are 1-2 to knock off Kansas City to go back to the Super Bowl.”

We’ve seen differing opinions on the Jets’ Super Bowl chances this season. But Orlovsky believes the team has an excellent chance due to the newfound energy of Aaron Rodgers and the defense that’ll be backing him this season.
“I’ve never seen this Aaron Rodgers before, and I’ve seen him since the moment we came in the NFL together,” Orlovsky said. “One, the refreshed, the energized, the excited and happy while also having the chip on the shoulder … He got run out of town in Green Bay, but now he’s got that chip on his shoulder.”
The defense should also play an important piece in the puzzle, as Orlovsky alludes to.
“This will be the best defense he’s played with,” said Orlovsky. “Energized, offended, and talented, this a team that can absolutely beat the Kansas City Chiefs.”
Whether or not the Jets find themselves in the Super Bowl remains to be seen. But one thing is certain – all eyes will be on Gang Green this season.
