The film reveals everything New York Jets fans should know about Adrian Amos’ game
Unfortunately, injuries are a part of life in the NFL – something New York Jets fans know all too well.
Almost immediately after I hyped up Chuck Clark’s impressive film, Clark went down with what appears to be a season-ending knee injury, pending official confirmation.

This left the Jets with a Chuck Clark-sized hole on the roster. Clark was expected to fill a “box” role for the Jets, but he also had the versatility to play deep as well.
The Jets got word of Clark’s injury and immediately pivoted to 30-year-old Adrian Amos, who was rumored to be on his second visit with the Baltimore Ravens. The Jets came in with a last-second offer to land Amos.
Amos is a fairly well-known player among NFL fans thanks to his extensive starting experience in the NFC North, where he started 122 games for the Bears and Packers from 2015 to 2022. That includes 66 straight starts for Green Bay since joining the Packers in 2019.
Not long ago, Amos was considered one of the better safeties in the NFL. However, a down year in 2022 led to the Packers deciding not to re-sign him as an unrestricted free agent. Amos lasted on the market until the Jets came calling in June with a one-year, $1.75 million deal that can increase to $4 million with incentives.
- Is Amos’ down season in 2022 an outlier?
- Can Amos replace Clark one-for-one?
- Where does Amos differ from Clark?
- What is Amos’ ideal role?
All of these questions and more are answered on this edition of Blewett’s Blitz. Plus, a list of Amos’ strengths and weaknesses can be viewed at the bottom of this article!
