Robert Saleh has apparently come to accept the idea of the New York Jets on Hard Knocks
Robert Saleh and the New York Jets have made it clear over the past few months that they have no interest in being featured on HBO’s Hard Knocks. Regardless, the NFL and HBO still selected the Jets to be on the show.
With the Jets holding their first training camp practice today, the Hard Knocks crew has arrived in Florham Park. If Saleh’s hilarious new t-shirt is any indication, it seems he is at the very least tolerating the Hard Knocks crew.

“I Heart HK”, reads Saleh’s t-shirt, which clearly means “I Love Hard Knocks”.
When asked about the show, Saleh expressed satisfaction with HBO for cooperating with the Jets to address some of their concerns. He insists that the team will be fine, citing its prior experience with managing the spotlight of the franchise’s in-house documentary series “One Jets Drive”.
“We’re fine. We’ve been doing One Jets Drive for the last couple years. Just talking with Hard Knocks, they’ve got a great group of people working with us. We’ve expressed some of our concerns, they’ve answered it. It’s going to be fine. It’s no different than One Jets Drive.” Saleh said.
The first episode of Hard Knocks will be released Tuesday, August 8 on HBO. It will be the Jets’ first appearance on the show since 2010, when Rex Ryan was the star of the show. The Jets handled the spotlight just fine back then, as they ended up going 11-5 and reaching the AFC Championship Game.
