The offensive line injuries continue to pile up for the New York Jets.

Warren, a rookie out of the University of Pittsburgh, has been dealing with a hip injury that already kept him out of a game already.
Mitchell, who has had a rocky season filled with struggles, is dealing with a neck injury. It is the latest ailment for a player who has dealt with his fair share of injuries.
If Mitchell and Warren cannot suit up for New York, it would most likely be Billy Turner starting at right tackle.
Mitchell and Warren’s injuries are a continuation of the devastation the Jets have seen along the offensive line. They have lost the majority of their starters to injury at one point or another. Their depth has been tested more than almost any team in the league, causing the Jets to have to pick up free-agent offensive linemen and immediately plug them in as starters.
The substantial number of offensive line injuries has also affected how the offense functions.
The lack of cohesion in the unit makes it tougher for Nathaniel Hackett to call games aggressively. Without trustworthy pass protection, it becomes difficult to execute long-developing passing plays. There is also a lack of space created in the running game, causing Breece Hall to be frequently stuffed in the backfield each week.
The Jets found some success against Houston last week despite their injuries. But for the team to win against Miami, they need to find a way to overcome an absurd amount of offensive line injuries once again.
