Aaron Rodgers plays Godfather to Malachi Corley
Aaron Rodgers recently decided to make Malachi Corley an offer he could not refuse.
During Corley’s Friday afternoon media availability, the New York Jets rookie wideout spoke about Rodgers’ swift impact on his professional football life. Corley said that he has texted Rodgers about football, life and mental health—ultimately wanting “to learn everything from him.”
Additionally, Corley said that Rodgers invited the rookie wideout to live in his guest house.
Malachi Corley said he’s been texting Aaron Rodgers quite a bit asking about football, life, mental health — said he’s Hall of Famer and wants to learn everything from him.

Naturally, it was an offer Corley could not refuse, as the rook plans to take up Rodgers on the offer.
Rodgers was not the only player to reach out to Corley, as wide receiver Garrett Wilson also said he is “excited to work with” the rookie. Corley said that he has idolized the Jets’ star wideout since he was in high school.
Malachi Corley said he’s been “idolizing” Garrett Wilson since both were in HS. Said Wilson has reached out and said he’s excited to work with Corley and that he also got to meet Mike Williams today. Even in the short time he has been on the roster, the Jets view Corley as a critical piece of the 2024 offense.
Corley’s talents and potential will benefit Wilson, who will not see as much double coverage if the Western Kentucky product can consistently separate underneath and create explosive plays. As a result, the Ohio State product will be able to get open and consistently make plays down the field.
For Rodgers, Corley—who decided to wear No. 17 in honor of Wilson—can serve as a player in a similar mold to a prime Randall Cobb. He can allow Rodgers to get the ball out quickly and efficiently, setting up their offense to hit big plays down the field.
With how important Corley looks to be this season, it is no surprise that his teammates are doing everything they can to help him acclimate.
