Oddsmakers are favoring the New York Jets in most of their games
If you wanted further proof that the general NFL public is starting to respect the New York Jets, look no further.
According to sports betting analyst Ben Fawkes, the Jets are currently favored to win 14 of their 17 games at DraftKings Sportsbook. Per Sports Odds History, that is the greatest total of games in which the Jets have ever been favored in a single season, going all the way back to the franchise’s inception in 1960.
The New York Jets are currently favorites in 14 games this season at @DKSportsbook.
That is the most games they've ever been a favorite in a single season in franchise history, dating all the way back to 1960 per @SOHistory

Here are the Jets’ odds in each game as of May 18, with the games in which the Jets are favored in bold:
- Week 1 at 49ers: +5.5
- Week 2 at Titans: -3.5
- Week 3 vs. Patriots: -7.5
- Week 4 vs. Broncos: -6
- Week 5 at Vikings: -3.5
- Week 6 vs. Bills: -1.5
- Week 7 at Steelers: -1
- Week 8 at Patriots: -4.5
- Week 9 vs. Texans: -3
- Week 10 at Cardinals: -2.5
- Week 11 vs. Colts: -4
- Week 13 vs. Seahawks: -4.5
- Week 14 at Dolphins: +2.5
- Week 15 at Jaguars: -1
- Week 16 vs. LA Rams: -3
- Week 17 at Bills: +2.5
- Week 18 vs. Dolphins: -3
The Jets are only listed as underdogs in their road games at San Francisco (+5.5), Miami (+2.5), and Buffalo (+2.5). They are favored in every home game and six of their nine road games. After the season-opening game against the 49ers, the Jets are favored in each of their next 11 games.
In fairness, the Jets are only slightly favored in many of these games, which is why their over-under win total is still just 9.5 despite being favored in 14 games.
While the Jets are viewed as having the advantage in nearly every game on their schedule, they are rarely viewed as a clear-cut favorite. Their Week 3 home game against New England is the lone matchup in which they are favored by at least seven points. Their ensuing Week 4 home game against Denver is the only other one in which they are favored by at least five points. In their other 12 favored games, the spread ranges from one point to 4.5 points.
