Appearing on the “Green Light” podcast, NFL insider Brian Baldinger spoke about the New York Jets’ revamped defensive line
One prominent NFL analyst thinks the New York Jets have the best defensive line in the entire league.
Appearing on the “Green Light” podcast with Chris Long, NFL Network’s Brian Baldinger said the Jets have the best defensive line in the NFL.
“I think the Jets are going to be pretty good, Chris. I really do. I think Jermaine (Johnson) is on a good trajectory. I think Haason (Reddick) is a big upgrade…he knows how to play and is motivated for a new contract.
“Quinnen is a difference-maker. They picked up Javon Kinlaw, and I want to see what Will McDonald looks like in year two because none of these guys ever figure it out in their first year. He has rare movement. I think they’re going to be eight deep… I believe they have a chance to create a lot of havoc.”

Like in past years, the Jets’ defensive line has the talent and depth to cause chaos for opposing defenses. They have stars at multiple positions who can win with speed or power while also having players ready to step up.
Ultimately, it all comes down to execution. New York could have all the talent in the world, but it won’t matter if they cannot generate wins in 2024. But with a revamped team and the chance to play with leads, the Jets’ defensive line seems likely to significantly impact the team’s fortunes.
