The youngest member of the New York Jets quarterback room has enjoyed his training camp experience.
Appearing on the “Pat McAfee Show,” Jordan Travis spoke about working with Aaron Rodgers and Tyrod Taylor in the team’s quarterback room.
“It’s so cool. I walk into the meeting room, and I see Tyrod and Aaron. I’m kind of starstruck still; it hasn’t hit me yet that I’m here and working with these guys,” said Travis.
“Watching how they carry themselves and how everyone respects them is my biggest thing. I just see how they go out to work every single day and how they take care of their bodies. It’s so cool to see that…It’s a blessing, for sure.”
Additionally, Travis called Rodgers “a coach out on the field” and said that watching the future Hall-of-Famer “motivates” him.

Even without being able to practice or play yet, Travis seems to be benefiting from Taylor and Rodgers. The two veterans are helping to instill positive habits in Travis, and Travis is motivated to become a similar player to the two leaders of the quarterback room.
It is in this fashion that the Jets will have a chance to develop a possible starter of the future. By having Travis, who already has great athletic gifts, learn from Taylor and Rodgers, he will be in a much better position to succeed.
Whether or not Travis can be a successful NFL quarterback is unknown and likely will not be answered for the foreseeable future. But considering who he is learning from, Travis is in an advantageous spot to succeed.
