One of the New York Jets’ best players vs. the Titans was subjected to a “random” drug test.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Breece Hall shared that the NFL sent him that dreaded text after his receiving performance on Sunday.

“Caught a touchdown and got that drug test text this morning,” said Hall.

It is unsurprising to see the Shield take an added interest in Hall after Sunday’s performance.

The versatile running back had over 100 yards from scrimmage, racking up 62 yards rushing and 52 yards receiving. His best play of the day was a leaping grab from Rodgers in the end zone that helped propel the Jets to victory.

After the game, Aaron Rodgers revealed that Hall told him during the prior timeout to throw the go ball if a linebacker came out to cover Hall. Rodgers executed the play exactly as Hall had envisioned.

Hall improved in all facets as the game progressed. He looked more explosive in the second half and found more running room. In the passing game, he showed off his great vertical speed and hands which make him an all-purpose back.

Ironically, the running back the NFL drug tested is the less physically impressive one on the Jets’ roster.

Rookie Braelon Allen is massive on the football field, standing at 6-foot-2 and weighing 238 pounds. He moves like a locomotive and showed that ability in Week 2. Allen had a breakout performance, scoring a touchdown on the ground and through the air.

The Jets’ offense seems to revolve around Hall and Allen in both phases. And if both players keep playing the way they have through two weeks, more drug tests will likely be in their future.
