According to the New York Jets’ head coach, there are no issues between him and the team’s star quarterback.
During his Wednesday media availability, Robert Saleh spoke about his relationship with Aaron Rodgers on and off the field.

“Aaron and I are fantastic. Love the guy,” said Saleh.
The head coach also spoke about the much-maligned cadence issue, where he gave a very pointed answer.
“There is no cadence issue. There never was a cadence issue. It was created.”
Additionally, Saleh spoke about the team’s status through the first four weeks of the 2024 NFL season.
“Would’ve loved to obviously finish it with a win on Sunday, but it didn’t happen. We’re 2-2, the NFL is built on chaos, and there’s a consistency that we’re trying to find with regard to the team. Definitely something we can build off of.”
While there is a chance that Saleh is not being entirely truthful about the status of his relationship with Rodgers, the drama was likely created due to poor communication and was never all that real in the first place.
Saleh and Rodgers have ample time to get the Jets rolling once again. They must get the offense and overall team to play more responsibly and at the level they should with their collective talent.
That is the most critical part of this whole “saga.” If the issues get fixed, nobody will ever remember this kerfuffle. However, if the issues persist, a non-story could become a real story regarding Saleh and Rodgers in 2024.
