Garrett Wilson is very open to the idea of playing with Davanate Adams.
Speaking at his media availability on Friday, the New York Jets’ third-year wide receiver sounded intrigued about the prospect of playing with the current Las Vegas Raiders wideout.

“Yeah, that’d be cool, man. I feel like it’s cool. You know, if we get him over here, like I always say, if someone can help us win, you know, let’s do it.”
Additionally, quarterback Aaron Rodgers gave his perspective on a possible Adams trade for the Jets.
“I don’t know how much I can say about it; there’s tampering, but I still have a close friendship with him; we spend time in the offseason together; he’s a great guy and a great player, and the rest of that is out of my hands.”
It goes without saying that Adams would be a massive addition for the Jets. He would give Aaron Rodgers a target he can trust at all areas of the field. Their connection would also elevate the entire offense, providing more space to Mike Williams, Breece Hall, and everyone in between.
Adding Adams would alleviate pressure off Wilson’s shoulders, giving him more single-coverage looks. He would also provide a potential mentor figure who could help the former Ohio State product develop into a top-flight receiver.
At the end of the day, the fit makes too much sense for the Jets and Adams on and off the field. Ultimately, it comes down to the organization making it happen.
