The latest former New York Jets teammate of Aaron Rodgers has officially provided his positive take.

Soon-to-be sophomore quarterback Jordan Travis posted on his X account (formerly Twitter) that “8 is a great person” and that the “narrative is crazy.”

“8 is a great person,” Travis wrote on Sunday. “The narrative is crazy.”

Travis, 24, missed the entire 2024 due to the brutal fracture and dislocated ankle suffered in his final year at Florida State. Joe Douglas’s Jets selected him in the fifth round (No. 171 overall) of the 2024 NFL draft with the understanding that it would take some time before he could practice again.

Of course, the Jets informed Rodgers that they planned to move on without him in 2025 and beyond. This has created much discussion around the Jets’ quarterback future.

Perhaps Aaron Glenn’s plan is to trade up for Cam Ward in the 2025 NFL draft, or maybe they’re targeting a prospect at No. 7. Either way, at this stage of the game, uncertainty reigns supreme.

Travis wrote about Rodgers while retweeting the TMZ video that showcased the news organization catching up with the future Pro Football Hall of Famer while he was out west—during or shortly after participating in the Waste Management Phoenix Open (golf tournament).

The Jets second-year quarterback is the latest former Rogers teammate to come to his defense for what they perceive to be unfair media treatment.

Soon after news of the Jets-Rodgers divorce broke, Quinnen Williams posted in disappointment, believing that a rebuild was on the horizon. While I think that’s a bridge too far, his initial reaction informs Jets fans about how Jets players feel about their former quarterback.

Aaron Rodgers is expected to be a post-June 1 cut designation, allowing the New York Jets to split his dead cap money over the next two years ($14 million in 2025 and $35 million in 2026).
