The New York Jets' final compensatory pick number recently revealed for the 2025 NFL draft follows a familiar pattern.

Unfortunately, the more things change, the more things stay the same. Well, that holds true for at least right now—fans can only hope.

Yet again, the New York Jets have been awarded zero compensatory picks for the NFL draft. The full allotment of 2025 NFL draft compensatory picks is as follows:

  • 4: Miami Dolphins (Round 3, Round 4, Round 7, Round 7)
  • 4: San Francisco 49ers (Round 3, Round 4, Round 7, Round 7)
  • 4: Baltimore Ravens (Round 4, Round 5, Round 6, Round 6)
  • 4: Dallas Cowboys (Round 5, Round 5, Round 5, Round 6)
  • 3: Seattle Seahawks (Round 4, Round 5, Round 5)
  • 3: Los Angeles Chargers (Round 6, Round 6, Round 7)
  • 2: Buffalo Bills (Round 5, Round 5)
  • 2: Las Vegas Raiders (Round 6, Round 6)
  • 2: Cleveland Browns (Round 6, Round 7)
  • 2: Kansas City Chiefs (Round 7, Round 7)
  • 1: Detroit Lions (Round 3)
  • 1: Los Angeles Rams (Round 3)
  • 1: Minnesota Vikings (Round 3)
  • 1: New York Giants (Round 3)
  • 1: Green Bay Packers (Round 7)

The AFC East rival Miami Dolphins were awarded four comp picks in total, tying for the draft-high with the Baltimore Ravens, San Francisco 49ers, and Dallas Cowboys. Meanwhile, the Buffalo Bills snagged two fifth-round selections.

With the exception of one sixth-round pick and two seventh in last year’s draft—courtesy of losing Nathan Shepherd, Mike White, and Dan Feeney—the Joe Douglas-led Jets had never been awarded a compensatory selection.

While losing Bryce Huff to the Philadelphia Eagles last free agency period would have put New York in a prime comp-pick position, the signings of Tyron Smith and Javon Kinlaw did work to cancel that out. (Mike Williams would have as well, had he not been moved during the season.)

As Jets X-Factor’s Rivka Boord noted in May of 2024, it was always unlikely that the 2025 Jets would see any additional selections. We now officially have that confirmation.
