Aaron Glenn’s coaching staff has taken another hitโ€”except this time, it wasn’t Glenn’s choice.

According to Cleveland.com’s Mary Kay Cabot, the Cleveland Browns plan to hire New York Jets tight ends coach Jeff Blasko.

Blasko is expected to work under first-year Browns head coach Todd Monken. He and Monken overlapped in Cleveland during the 2019 season, when Blasko was the team’s assistant offensive line coach, and Monken was the Browns’ offensive coordinator.

Glenn hired Blasko last offseason to serve as his tight ends coach after he spent five years with the Dallas Cowboys, working in various roles, including assistant offensive line coach, running backs coach, and run game coordinator.

Under Blasko’s watch in 2025, the Jets’ tight end room progressed. Fourth-year tight end Jeremy Ruckert improved drastically and was rewarded with a two-year extension, while Mason Taylor’s 11 contested catches led rookie tight ends.

Blasko’s departure marks the Jets’ 10th coaching change this offseason. Gang Green is currently expected to have just five coaches from last season return to their staff in 2026: special teams coordinator Chris Banjo, offensive line coach Steve Heiden, wide receivers coach Shawn Jefferson, running backs coach Nic McKissic-Luke, and defensive backs coach/pass-game coordinator Chris Harris.

There is now another vacancy on Glenn’s staff that the former Pro Bowl cornerback will be tasked with filling as he prepares for his second season as the Jets’ head coach after an atrocious 3-14 debut year.

The Jets are in the midst of looking for a new offensive coordinator. After interviewing five candidates, they are reportedly down to three finalists, including Greg Roman. Whoever the Jets hire, they will be tasked with filling out the majority, if not all, of the offensive staff.
